We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Producer to join our Premier Events team in orchestrating some of the city's most iconic events. From Melbourne Fashion Week, Moomba, to the Firelight Festival, our team takes pride in curating exceptional experiences that resonate with audiences far and wide.
As an Event Producer sitting predominantly within the Melbourne Fashion Week (M/FW) team, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Premier Events to uphold the highest standards of the M/FW program delivery, ensuring alignment with our strategic vision while fostering growth, sustainability, and economic responsibility. Your role will encompass the development, implementation, and oversight of strategic, curatorial, and administrative outcomes, as well as leading the programming and production of M/FW, along with smaller events throughout the year. Working in tandem with various stakeholders including City of Melbourne branches, external production agencies, universities, corporations, and community organisations, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing our city's vibrant culture to life.

What you will bring to the Role:
- Tertiary qualification in event management and/or or substantial experience in mid-senior level operational and programming roles within major outdoor event settings and within event venues.
- Experience working in a programming led fashion related festival environment and other relevant community events, with significant crowd and transport management complexities and demonstrated understanding of these operations.
- Proven expertise in interpreting legislation, regulations, local laws, and strategic plans to effectively implement them as needed, coupled with experience and understanding of Capital Works projects and asset management.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in management and coordination of event operations and logistics, fashion runway production experience, planning/scoping/design, risk management, emergency management, OH&S, resource deployment, major contract management, traffic management, festival operations systems, staffing systems and financial management.
- Expertise in cultivating and sustaining strong working relationships and partnerships with senior-level stakeholders, coupled with exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
- Demonstrated project planning and project management skills.

What this role will bring to City of Melbourne
The Qualified Early Childhood Educator provides high quality education and care for children accessing the service. The Educator in this position will be guided by the Educational Leader, and shares responsibility for ensuring that the program reflects current best practice, and meets the individual needs of each child participating in the program. Programs will be informed by ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming’ Early Years Learning Frameworks.
We currently are recruiting for our North Melbourne Children’s Centre, and also have a second facility being Lady Huntingfield Early Learning and Family Services Centre. Both services are open 7.30am to 6.00pm.
What you will bring to City of Melbourne

- Diploma Children’s Services qualification

- Current Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates that appear on the ACECQA approved qualification list.
